“WORDS FAIL ME,”

HAVING BOOKED AND PAYED IN FULL FOR A HIRE CAR WITH FASTCARHIRE IN JULY 2011, I WAS TOLD SOME WEEKS LATER THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY MORE MONEY FOR THE CAR. THIS I REFUSED TO DO AND INSTEAD SETTLED FOR A CHEAPER MODEL.
AS I WAS NOT GOING ON HOLIDAY UNTILL OCTOBER FASTCARHIRE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO SORT OUT THE MATTER. INSTEAD THEY DID NOTHING DESPITE UMPTEEN E.MAILS AND PHONE CALLS FROM ME, MOST OF WHICH WERE IGNORED. I WAS LEAVING
FOR THE STATES ON OCTOBER 14TH AND BY OCTOBER 10TH,I STILL DID NOT HAVE A CAR AND THEY WERE STILL NOT REPLYING TO E.MAILS OR PHONE CALLS.
I THEN HAD TO HIRE A CAR FROM ANOTHER COMPANY WHO HAD THE MATTER SORTED
IN FIVE MINUTES.
ON CANCELLING MY BOOKING WITH FASTCARHIRE I RECEIVED A BRIEF EMAIL STATING
" sorry for the service will speed up refund".
NEEDLESS TO SAY IT IS NOW SIX WEEKS SINCE THIS E.MAIL AND NO REFUND.
HOW ON EARTH DO THEY STAY IN BUSINESS?
I AM NOW CONSIDERING LEAGLE ACTION.
