Unfortunately we have had a bad experience with Black Katz. When we moved in mid sept, the boiler was not working and it took 2 and a half weeks to resolve the issue. No apologies or compensation for having to make alternative bathing arrangements. On another occasion the drains got blocked and the bath kept filling up with dirty water. Again it took 2 weeks to resolve and continuous prompting from us. On moving out we had numerous calls from Black Katz agents asking about the property, does it have an extractor fan etc.
Now, 2 months after moving out, our deposit is nowhere to be seen, albeit the inventory being done and all accounts settled. I am constantly emailing and calling the office in Camden but there seems to be no progress at all on the grounds that 'the landlord is not reachable'. Staff do not seem to be particularly interested in the matter and now inform us that it might take another 16 days to get in touch with the landlord, who is apparently holding the deposit?! Unprofessional service, would not recommend.
