What can I say thats positive about Bairstow Eves? Zilch. Nada.
We should've run away as soon as they mucked up the first time. Sadly they tie you into a 16 week contract, leave early and you have to pay a few hundred quids... I'd rather eat my own shoes than give them money.
Started off with being ignored the moment the contract was signed, no returned phone calls, and promised deadlines were broken. Followed eventually with an amazing set of rubbish photo's - I could've taken a better picture with my phone camera, and its been dropped down the loo. Under-exposed, crooked and without using a decent wide-angle lens, making a gorgeous bright property look like a dirty dark hell-hole. So, photo's help entice buyers into a property, why dont they do this very important part well? I had to redo the photo's myself, and ask them a couple of times to use my images, not their own. It seemed difficult to grasp that I wanted show the property at its best.
They have also done nothing about sending folk around to view. House is lovely, freshly decorated but its stuck in a no-mans land, bang in the middle of two Bairstow Eves's offices. I was told this by the agent, and that he hates getting property where we are. Seems that the same enthusiasm has reached his results. One viewer in 13 weeks, whereas another house 3 doors up has had over 10 with another agent in same time scale.
And this is the best bit - the branch we've been with have lied repeatedly. Nothing big, but lots of little lies In fact, anything I've pulled them up on, they've lied to fob us off, from putting an ad in local paper, to telling us that our house would be in other Bairstow Eves agents. This, I find out later is untrue as its a franchise. This is just two of many..and I'd not bore you with the rest. Its been a frustrating, wholly unpleasant experience. Do yourself a fav, do not go with Bairstow Eves!
