I lost a diamond Cross necklace in Dubai that had been a birthday present from my brothers, i was very upset as you can imagine but as i had insurance knew that when i got home could hopefully replace it before my brothers noticed!! i arrived home an called my insurance company (Tesco Travel insurance) only to find out my policy had been miss sold to me and i was insured on personal items up to £1250 however with a £200 break on each item! This was something that i had not been told when purchasing the policy, i was told by a colsultant from the sales team i was covered on any personal item up to £1250. My confirmation itself clearly states the cover for personal items lost is £1250, at no point does it mention anything about £200!!!
Not only that when i was put through to a supervisor i found myself speaking to a very rude man called Craig who was extremely unhelpful an clearly couldnt care less about my claim!
I would never advise anyone to use Tesco insurance as its a complete con an i have now found out policies have been miss sold to many other people in similar situations!
