I purchased a voucher from Carhire 3000 Reservations in the UK and paid £167 which was supposed to be the upfront cost of the rental. I picked my car up from Seattle Tacoma and I was offered an upgrade as they were doing a 'deal' on it for the particular airline I flew in on. What they didn't explain was that the 'deal' almost doubled the cost of the rental. I opted for the roadside assistance fair enough. But they also added a 'fuel service option' which I still have no idea what this is for. Anyway my final bill came to about 4 times what my 'up front' payment of £167 was supposed to cover.
Never again will I choose Alamo for my car rental. I have been totally mislead on the costs. Fellow consumers, BEWARE!
