I renewed my home insurance and went with Tesco as they were slightly cheaper however this was a bad mistake.
I had my house on the market for sale for 11 months and fortunately sold about 2 weeks ago-this is when the trouble started.
I sent a letter to cancel my policy as I could not get through to them by phone as lines always queued.
I eventually received a reply from them and was horrified to read that I owed them £38 (£20 of this is cancellation fee) and that they had passed this debt to their collections department !!!!!!!!
This was 2 weeks after moving house and the first letter I received from them.
After calling them again and holding for 45 minutes I spoke to the rudest most incompetant person I have ever spoken to.
After repeating myself 5 times simply trying to give my debit card number she eventually took the payment.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I TAKE ANY TESCO PRODUCT!!!!!
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WORST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED
