Having decided to fit a new kitchen we visited several suppliers in our area, from very well known DIY stores to local traders. Some were less helpful than others.
Eventually we tentatively visited Kutchenhaus in Chester thinking we would have to pay more than originally planned - and we did - but you get what you pay for.
However we were very impressed from the outset. A welcoming reception, a good browse around on our own to see what was on offer including tasty cups of coffee and more importantly good attention to detail once we had decided what we liked.
Having measured our existing kitchen dimensions ourselves the details were passed onto the designer who with his CAD device positioned appliances etc. more or less where we wanted them and adjusting the sizes of units to fit around existing plumbed in appliances and an enclosed hot water tank. No other company produced the “Z” corner units suited our kitchen layout.
The Kitchen units were ordered just before Christmas and delivered just before Easter.
We had decided to fit the units ourselves, having fitted a kitchen in our previous house a numbers of years ago.
Everything fitted exactly as was expected down to the last 2 to 3 mm and there was sufficient spare material to enclose spaces not initially planned for, i.e, above the units to enclose the extractor fan trunking and fitting a towel rail.
We had a little difficulty with the instructions being written in German but despite a few minutes of puzzlement all things clicked into place.
We are very satisfied with every aspect because we got what we wanted, everything fitted into place and our visitors have been impressed with the design features.
