“Threatened with the law!”

Moved to British Gas four months ago and have received a letter threatening legal action if we do not allow them to do an immediate meter safety check. They say that they have 'not been able to obtain access to the meter during our recent visits to your property' but we have never received notice of these and I doubt very much if they made any. We will have to pay a penalty for moving to Cooperative Energy but it will be worth it to escape such an abysmal organisation.
