From the moment the robot style clueless 18yr picked up the phone, I should have known. You know those types that believe they know it all and really do need a check on reality. So - what went wrong - well, the wrong policy for our needs was advised on, incorrect information regarding no claims bonus was advised on, who the primary policy should be was incorrect, who was the main driver was incorrect, how many years no claims, incorrect, which address the policy should be tied to, WRONG! That was just the beginning, then the multiple letters threatening cancellation because they 'had not received' my documents (sent via recorded delivery and email 3 times)...I am actually happy to see it's not just me that's had this problem as I suggested a lack of communication, product knowledge and general intelligence was rife within that organisation.
It is TRUELY TRUELY painful dealing with this lot - and ends up costing MORE that your last insurer!!! I had to have the policy cancelled that they originally set up and then re-instated (at MY cost - for THEIR error!!)
Don't do it - seriously, if you are about to decided whether the £20 less you'll pay is worth changing to UNDERperformance Direct - hell, £600 - please, please, please don't do it - TRUST ME.
