“Good and inexpensive”

Dataflame are a no-hassle low-cost provider. They are up almost all the time and when there are occasional problems they are quick to fix them, either by going through Chat or through email. Their PHP and MySQL versions are up to date. They have also been incredibly helpful over the years when I have needed them to install some esoteric piece of software such as IMagick or whatever. I originally selected them after a careful trawl through many reviews, plus cost, and I have stuck with them. Their low-end entry point went more expensive for a while but then they went back and it is now very competitive. If you have a larger GB throughput they are extremely competitive compared to others. Though I mentioned occasional problems I would say these are extremely occasional, so most of the time they are just there. Billing is also entirely hassle free on line and they send you reminmders and they don't bug you with silly messages. Basically, these are the good guys. I use the Elite package as I have a few sites but I also have starter packages and I never notice any clients moaning about availability. As I say, it just works.
