Martin and Co Kings Heath were ok at first when I viewed the property. I paid my admin fees then was told they had the rent price wrong and that I would have to pay an extra twenty five pounds per month. They told me the property was empty as I wanted to rent unfurnished, but it was not empty. I had to empty it and then store some of the landlord's items which meant I couldn't store a lot of my own things which I then had to put in the loft. Each time I made a phone call it took them a while to do anything, plus the landlord did not want to do much maintenance round the house so I ended up doing most of it myself. Mould appeared on the walls and they did send out a contractor who treated it, but then the contracted flirted with me and even started to send me text messages even though he knew I had a fiance. Shocking behavior. Then the mould came back and I informed Martin and Co of this and two years on and they still hadn't done anything. All my inspection reports were perfect, but guess what, the last one wasn't and I wasn't there when they did it. They made an appointment with me to do the exit inspection and on the day I was leaving no one showed up. I contacted the office and they informaed me that the lady who was meant to do the inspection did not work on Fridays, why make the appointment for a friday then??? I handed the keys into the office and left. I let the landlord know what was happening and they were not very happy at all. Marton and Co did the inspection the following wednesday, bearing in mind I had left the previous friday and contractors were going in and out of the property doing work which they did promise to have done before I left, then I had the inspection report saying that the property was dirty. I emailed them a huge long email saying that I thought they were unprofessional and how can the inspection reports differ so much in the space of 6 months. I still have not had a reply so I have written to the property ombudsman to see what they say. I still have some of my belongings in the property too as there was a wasps nest and I couldn't get to my things. I wonder how long it will take for them to remove the nest, I know they are not allowed to let out the property when the wasps nest is there and believe me. I drive past the old property a few times a week. I will be making sure no one is in there when my things are still there. I took photographic evidence also on the house to prove I cleaned it, I even re cleaned it the day I left so trust me, DO NOT use Martin and Co, they are crooks. They are refusing to give me my deposit back which is six hundred and fifty pounds. There is no way that they can charge me for anything and they won't even give me a breakdown, they won't reply, nothing. I'm not going to phone them either because I will get abuse from them. Bunch of idiots, couldn't run a bath let alone a property. Honestly, do not use them. Won't be long before they are on rogue traders or something trust me,lol. I'll update when I hear from property ombusdman. Thanks
