For about 20 days now I have been experiencing problems with sky broadband, intermittent connection etc. At first sky broadband tried their best to sort out the problem by having me reset my router. After a couple of phonecalls because of the sheer frustration of each time not being able to use my broadband they come up with 'troubleshooting' ideas. 1st one was to reset router.....check
2nd one was to check and change microfilters.....check
3rd one was to plug router in downstairs (couldn't understand this as the router has been plugged in upstairs from year dot).....check
4th one was to try to connect using an iphone or blackberry.....not check
5th one was to blame my laptop.....not check (as it connected to a friends sky broadband)
6th one was to gain access to the test socket.....not check.....I am not an electrician.
Then they told me I would have to pay £28.00 for new router.....no I wouldn't
Then they said I would have to pay a call out charge for a technician.....no I wouldn't
Was told on 7th September 2011 they would send me a new router special delivery it is now 13th September 2011 I am still waiting for this new router.
Have told them, should anything like this ever happen again, they can stick their products and lack of service up their BEEP
Steer clear of sky broadband.....what a rip off
Another thing what makes me laugh is they broadcast and advertise that the prices have 'frozen' until 31.08.12 so after then they will just double the increase.....they think we're stupid
