i'll be brief.
I joined Virgin Active in Staines 5 days ago.
The warning signs were already there when the 'child' who was the 'membership something, something" didnt even see us out the door.
We received a discount (still way overpriced) because my fiance works in "edication" (sic) that's right edication!
They still have not activated our membership cards and we have to talk our way in each time. BTW no locks on lockers, I had to buy a £5 lock from them as they had run out of complimentary ones.
When we joined we were not given ANY information OR terms and conditions. It was also not explained that the pool will close half an hour before the end of the day (nor are there any signs)
I walked in:
"pool.closed" was barked at me. it was only when i approached reception I found out why.
we have attempted to go to the gym several times:
1st time: The cards "aint" registered
2nd time: Your card "aint" registered
3rd time: You need to sign the terms and conditions (already done)
4th Time: the computer says you "aint" signed the terms and conditions.(done yesterday)
5th Time: It will work tommorow. let me "re-amend" (sic) your details.
We asked for
The staff are ignorant and have the customer care of pigs! I have seen them openly mock members behind their backs!I have seen them poor dirty water down the shower drains!
We decided to try the branch at SUNBURY. IT WAS FILTHY!
on a lesser complaint there has been no shampoo or conditioner in the mens changing room dispensers since I joined.
I will be handing my notice in tomorrow and refusing to pay for the membership. disgusted. Richard Branson and the Virgin brand should have better quality control. once again, disgusted!
I have written a letter of complaint to Head Office, but expect a crappy 'gloss' letter.
DO NOT JOIN VIRGIN ACTIVE! IT IS RUN BY MORONS! AND IS A RIP OFF!
