Sept. '11. A very full Dominion theatre. This is a slightly sanitised version of Queens hits, it is a play with music, and a little comedy. You will not see a band on the stage but a group of dancers who all sing, the lead roles being taken by several singers, they all play their part well and appear to enjoy what they do. There is very little attempt to interact with the audience until the final 15 mins of the show, when hand clapping is encouraged. It was apparent that some in the audience wanted to be on their feet and treat this show as a 'sing-a-long' this is not what you get.
It is worth seeing, but think panto/musical.
If you want an on your feet sing-a-long see 'Gary Mullen and the works' a very good, slightly tongue in cheek version of Queen; various dates this month from Margate to Inverness.
