“very poor customer service ”

Flew with Etihad in 2007 and will never fly with them again. what a pathetic excuse of an airline.
Travel is exhausting on a good day when everything runs smoothly but these lot really just took the biscuit.
The flight from manchester departed on time and arrived at Abu Dhabi on time but as soon as the plane landed in Abu Dhabi the problems started. we were supposed to have an 1 hr wait between flights but as our 1 hr was up our follow on flight was no where to be seen, neither were any staff from Etihad to advise on what to do next. In total there must have been 250 people on the flight all of us without a clue of what's going on, eventually people started queuing at the customer service desk which was another 1 hr wait to be given an explanation. there the staff dropped the bombshell the flight had to be cancelled and we would have to wait 10 hrs for the for the next available flight. so for 10 hrs we had to sit at the airport waiting for a flight and the only compensation they gave was a free meal, for sleeping arrangement we were told the airports your oyster so pick yourselves a spot on the marble floor and enjoy.
the return flight was as much fun, as I had to delay my ticket and then to get my seat confirmed Etihad was persistent there were no available seats in the economy class which I flew in before, so I had to pay extra 200 pounds extra for an economy plus seat which was not in the slightest different from the original seat I purchased but no doubt extra revenue for them.
