“Why the bad reviews? Jet2 are good to fly with!”

Flew for the first time with Jet2 for our recent holiday from East Midlands to Rhodes. Was initially worried about reading some of the poor reviews but had nothing to worry about! We also booked our hotel with them as this was part of a package holiday. Also happy with the hotel (Mareblue Cosmopolitan). Check-in at EMA was fast with friendly staff. We had already prebooked our seats to ensure that the party of 3 could sit together. Boarding the plane was quick and the flight left on time. Good communication from the Captain during the flight letting us know which route we would be taking etc. Plane was clean with plenty of leg room which my husband thought was great! We pre-booked the flight entertainment system for our son which kept him entertained througout the flight (he is 5 and he would have been extremely bored without it).
The staff worked hard during the flight although were friendly enough if you asked them questions.
Flight arrived at Rhodes earlier than planned.
Return flight from Rhodes had a slight queue at check-in although we were one of the first so didn't have a problem. Again, we had pre-booked seats so had no problem with this. Again, staff worked hard, plane was clean and arrived early at East Midlands. Good communication from Captain during the flight. Slight delay at East Midlands getting through passport control but this is no fault of the airline.
Cannot fault Jet2 at all, and cannot understand the poor reviews.
Will definitely fly again with Jet2!!
