Good Points
The free cd on the cover
fantastic in-depth articles
wide variety of styles covered
Bad Points
Too much reliance on old defunct bands and artists for content
General Comments
Uncut is a gem of a magazine. It's well-written, the articles tell you just about everything you could possibly want to know, it covers a reasonably wide variety of bands and artists and comes with a free CD of recommended tunes every month. There are in depth sections about books and movies as well, all very thoughtfully done. The only real gripe, however, is that the cover stories inevitably feature bands and artists from the 60's and 70's rather than newer stuff. There's only so many articles about the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Eagles that one person needs.
