“A great series which will make you chuckle”

written by SimonGreen32 on 25/08/2011

E4 have recently started showing the series "How I met your Mother" and have compared it to friends in their ads. "Friends without the annoying Ross" was their tag line. However while I do like Friends, I think that How I met your mother shouldn't be classed as a copy cat show and I believe it is actually better than friends.

What's unusual about the program is its use of time. The show starts with a future Ted Mosby explaining to his kids the story of how he met their mother. While the main story takes place in the present day. Through out the series they flash back to the past and forward to the future, although the clips only last a few seconds they are created to intrigue the audience. The whole point of the series is to find out who Ted's wife-to-be is and although the series has given some clues the answer currently isn't known. The series has just finished its 7th season despite only recently airing in the UK. If you want a funny, sitcom with mystery and relatable characters I suggest tuning in.
