“Window seat”

I paid extra for a window seat on the north side of the plane and was ordered by a flight attendant to close the shade so someone across the plane could watch the movie. When I refused to do so, she found an attendant with a moustache, a big belly and a bad attitude. He commanded me to close the window shade. I said, NO. I paid for the window seat, I don't watch movies and the view of forests, lakes, mountains, glaciers and fantastic cloud formations was vastly more entertaining than anything on a movie screen.
Big Gut snarled at me, tossed me a few insults and stomped off.
Geez, is it against the law to look out the window? There was no blinding sunlight coming in. Have flight attendants nothing better to do than harass and intimidate a senior citizen barely 5 feet tall?
It was like flying in a coffin.
