“Evans doesn't need to sell bikes...”

...Because they make no effort to!
I went in and paid £50 deposit to have them bring in a Dahon P8 folding bike for me to look at.
They said it would be in the next lunchtime so I turned up and was greeted with a blank face and a shrug. They said it would probably be in next day but they'd email or call me to save me the journey. TWO more days on and nothing. When I called to ask about it they said "oh no, it won't be here until next week some time" as if it was out of their control.

Needless to say I went back to reclaim my deposit ( which will take 5-7 working days apparently! )

In conclusion, I'm glad for Evans Cycles that they must be doing so well in this economic climate that they can nonchalantly dismiss a customer willing to part with 450 quid!
