I have been with Boomerang rentals for over a year now and have finally decided to cut and run even though I haven't received a game in 2 months and have therefore lost that subscription money due to the fact that they don't issue refunds despite the fact I haven't received goods or a service...
The first few months I was subscribed were fantastic - I received all the games I wanted to play quickly and without hassle. However during my fourth month of subscription one of the games (Mass Effect 2) I rented was lost in the mail when I sent it back. In Boomerang's T&C's it mentions that if this occurs you will be tied to a subscription for the following 6 months on your current package.
This wasn't an issue for me as I thought the service was brilliant up to now and I would most likely be renewing my sub naturally anyway.
However it was soon apparent that the service I was getting was far poorer than before - I was struggling to get 1 game I was interested in a month or more which encouraged me to write multiple emails which were replied to every single time with a "copy and paste" basic response trying to appease me but not offering any guarantees as to when I would see the next game.
I have finally got to the end of my "forced" subscription and cancelled however I felt the need to write this review on as many sites as possible so others will not fall foul of this shoddy service.
