“Dixons is OK, but Yodel is Disappointing ”

I first had a business with Dixons in 2009 when I purchased Panasonic digital camera. Back then I was satisfied with the purchase and with its delivery (via DHL) and decided to purchase Samsung 32 inch LED TV from Dixons this time.

Reading all sorts of negative reviews I was expecting the worst and worried so much that I wanted to cancel my order but then decided to go ahead and wait to see what happens. I shall admit that I had no problem whatsoever. I received 3 emails, first confirming my order, second that my order is being processed and third that my order is being collected by Yodel and was also provided tracking number. As I did not pay for the delivery I received my purchase in 4 days.

Having no problems with Dixons I am not satisfied with the Yodel run delivery. Not only they do not specify particular time slot but they do not even tell you whether or not you are going to get your item am or pm. Basically taking a day off work I spent 9 hours at home like prisoner, calling Yodel 4 times and finally received my purchase at 5.30pm. The delivery man was also very negligent and I had to shout at him because he was pushing TV box without being concerned with possible damage.

Basically to Dixons I award 4 out of 5 (slashing 1 point for using Yodel) and for Yodel 1out of 5 for their unorganised delivery and for employing careless delivery staff.
