We have holiday cottages and the cleanliness of them is very important,we allow dogs but also cater for families with small children,so have to remove all traces of hair, which the Sebo does with ease. The hose is great for getting right into awkward edges but the vac does a good job of this anyway, and it doesnt take two seconds to fit back into the body of the machine. The vacuum is so slim it is easy to clean under the beds,it isnt bagless but the bags last for quite a while and are easy to replace. I first came across the Sebo where I worked and was impressed at the build quality, you can tell it is good quality,it is on the heavy side if you need to carry it,not flimsy and light, but glides easily when pushed, it even raises or lowers itself to suit the pile depth of the carpet. After using this machine in one cottage for 5yrs the carpets are still in fantastic condition, there are no crushed pile tracks at high traffic areas and other than spot treating occasionally I have never had to shampoo them. There are two downsides to the machine for my particular situation,it is not as good as my Miele cylinder at vacuuming the solid wood and tiled kitchen floor, and if your rushing it is easy to vac over the cord and the powerful roller with its brushes can damage the cable if not careful. (however this was my fault!)
