“big looks and not too slow”

written by on 12/07/2011

i have a black hyosung gt125r with stubby carbon can and stainless pipes and also rear wheel hugger, bike looks fantastic and feels like i big bike,it seems the only people that complain about these bikes being slow are people who have actually never ridden one or have thrashed it early in its life and not run it in properly,my bike easily keeps up with traffic around town but really comes too life out in the open.1st gear is a little short and second gear isnt much longer but 3rd is where its at,20 to 60 mph is quick for such a big bike with a small engine, but the bike just wants to go faster and faster when on the longer roads, ive owned a few 2 stroke racers and this just feels better! and grips the road like it should.others in its class were the honda shadow 125 (overpriced and too cruisery for my liking)
the Honda Varadero 125 ( same power and great looking but a little too pinchable looking for its off road ability)
honda cbr (wheels from a bmx nuff said)
other 2 strokes aprillia nsr cagiva (too costly to restrict and keep fixing)
so all in all for me the hyosung gt125r was the perfect learner.
and its korean and uses loads of parts from suzuki not Chinese rubbish
