My son renewed his insurance with Budget Insurance via a comparison website. The forms are downloaded in pdf format and included is a note to say that they require proof of no claims. This was duly sent off. Then 2 weeks later a letter arrived advising him that a charge of £15 would be made if he didn't return a signed copy of the credit agreement, so he signed the enclosed form on Friday, and on the following Thursday a letter arrived stating that it had not been received and he would be charged £15. The 'helpline' isn't there to listen, just to justify the charges it makes and despite returning the form in next day's post it was still too late. No other insurance company I ever dealt with since the advent of the computer asks for paper copies of anything or invents bogus charges to bump op their profits. Be warned and go elsewhere as any cheap quote they give you will be increased in any way they can dream up
