Please Please, Please be fully aware of what you are signing for when dealing with Belmont Thornton. Their fees are 25% of the overall claim refund plus VAT (another 20%). Their fees also become payable the moment you agree to the offer of settlement, even if the company concerned is not going to pay you till later in the year. The wording of their contract is very vague and they interpret it any which way they wish.
Heavy handed tactics are used by BT to ensure that you pay and if you dont pay them immediatly it is passed to a debt collecting agency and they add a further 25% of the amount on for their their fee!
They have poor customer service skills, give false names when you do manage to speak to them, if you put them on the spot about a matter they disconnect you and deny anyone with that names exists at BT. They even have a mobile number which rings at random hours of the day and night to harrass (again denied its BT) Never give your mobile number/work number as txts and calls to your manager about your non-payment are abundant.
Complaints are fobbed off and usually ignored. Even contact with the Min of Justice (governing body) has proved unfruitful!
