I am a celiac, so I ordered three types of gluten free cookies from the gluten free smorgasbord that is the selection at Goodness Direct. Everything was a bit battered when it arrived - I am not living in the UK - but that is to expect when sending GF cookies in the mail.

I ordered two Lazy Day products, ginger snaps and shortbread, and some Trufree digestives. The shipping outside UK is costly, so they ended up costing a small fortune compared to normal cookies, but I don't have anything like the products at Goodness Direct available to me in a "real" shop. Luckily, these cookies are GOOD!

I haven't tried the ginger snaps - which were the only ones that held up during shipping, surprisingly - but the digestives are spot-on when held up to my recollection of digestives. A bit salty, crumbly, not too sweet. The shortbread cookies are truly buttery, but a little sweeter and lighter in the texture than I remember from the "real" stuff. Both are better than any GF cookies I've tasted before, though!

Overall I'm very happy with goodnessdirect.co.uk and I'll definitely be ordering again - but I'll ration my cookies some and hope for a drop in the postal fee in the meantime.
