“You can't have YOUR money”

I lost my credit card so the credit card company gave me £1000 cash to collect from a Westertn Union agent.

Apparently you can collect money from any WU place....NOT!
Although the agent will happily take YOUR cash, but will not want to give you money...even if it's yours!!

I went to some 15 places in the Birmingham area and the excuses ranged from "computers' down" to "we aye got enuff monay in the till"!
So what is the agents' purpose? I think it's just to collect cash from Polish clients.

Some of these places were well dodgy (i suppose these places only exist in places where there are large immigrant populations, i.e. cheaper rental parts of the city). Most places wanted to make a copy of my photo ID - with a date-of-birth, signature, address, etc, but I could see no evidence of secure data storage facilities - like a drawer!

Eventually I found a place in the centre, with some large, obnoxious Brummie lasse in the 'Checkers and Pawnbrokers' (Lower temple) give me attitute like it's her money...and of cource they're not very well trainined to give out money and was cluless on how to make that transaction.

Avoid WU and Birmingham (with large lasses) like the plague!
