Poor Production Design

General Comments
Regarding The Wizard Of Oz at The Lowry, Katie Scofield has a future in this role, her speaking voice was exactly like Garlandf's but she was let down by poor production values and rubbishy looking sets. I can only guess that most of the budget was spent on luft who was ok but hamstrung by poor witch effects. Blowing a quick puff of smoke in from the wings is not good enough for such a dramtic charachter.
