“If you haven't played Call of Duty 1 before, then I...”

written by zEURE on 21/06/2006

Good Points
Going from Call of Duty 1 to Call of Duty 2 it was very strange, the maps and the game play is very different, but once getting used to this, the game is very good! The game play is very real, for example the graphics are very good and there are always planes flying across and broken down building's with the soldiers looking scared... makes it feel like you really are fighting in the war.
Single player offers a load of levels that lets you try out everything that you can try in this game, it also prepares you for Multi-player.
Multi-player is very addictive, there are a wide range of game types and maps that lets you play exactly how you want to play in your game.

Bad Points
IGN did promise to make Call of Duty 2 a faster game play than Call of Duty 1, in my opinion they have not done this. Sometimes playing in Multiplayer it can be quite a slower gameplay than Call of Duty 1 which in my opnion is not good but it doesn't affect how good the game is. All I am saying is that it is not faster game play than Call of Duty 1 simply because the maps are bigger, but in the end you play how you want to.

General Comments
If you haven't played Call of Duty 1 before, then I think you will enjoy this game more than those who have. The game play isn't as promised by IGN because the maps are bigger therefore the game play is not faster but in the end you can do what you want to and there are a wide range of gametypes and maps so I suppose it doesnt really matter.

The graphics are very realistic with effects that make you feel like you are actually playing in the war yourself.

It is very addictive which I think shows its worth its money.
