This game is definitely worth buying, it can be argued to be one of the best first person shooter games ever.
If you are a competative gamer then you need this game, and if you have played CoD then again you need this game. I would personally say that it is a cross between Counter Strike and Call of Duty which is what everybody wants, for example, the gameplay is very fast (like Counter Strike) but at the same time very skillful and competative with a range of different game types, guns, maps...
If you are not an online gamer, then I would also say this is the best game to start on, its easy to pick up and the new guns and maps are noob friendly (again easy to get used to).
If you are buying the game because you love WAR then you might be better going for Battlefield 2 or Call of Duty : UO which involves tanks and so on.
At the moment, the game is very buggy, just like every game when it is first released. But, I think this is probably the worst. If you are an online gamer you will understand what I mean when I say if you got 125 fps and 20 ping in CoD1 you will get 40 fps and 60 ping in this. But don't worry, the game will be adapted when they bring out the new pam which will probably fix all the bugs, and the good news is there are normally 5 pams brought out by the end of it so I think this game really will catch on.
Another thing, you will need a good graphics card and quite a good powered computer!
Call of Duty 2 is definitely worth buying for online competative gamers and first timers. The gameplay is fast, skillfull and very entertaining and could be argued to be the best first person shooter ever.
At the moment the game is buggy, and sometimes annoying, but this will be fixed and made better and better as the game goes on so don't let that hold you back!
You will need a good computer with a good graphics card, but the game will run on most computers, It's just if you want to have your in game graphics on high detail ;).
