“I recently won a copy of this book after being entered...”

written by Mendy Brendy on 03/03/2011

I recently won a copy of this book after being entered into a competition from Scooter McKenzie's Cartoon Page on Facebook.

It's an illustrated graphic novel which follows the cases of D. Cyper, private eye. The first few stories pull the reader into the investigation by stimulating the reader to puzzle over the clues in oder to solve the mysteries with the aid of D.Cypher's commentary.

The final chapter is novella about an underworld criminal called Words and how he attempts to continue his criminal activity from his prison cell but Cypher is on the case to save the day.

This is a short book beautifully illustrated by cartoonist and artist Scooter McKenzie who is the pen name of Peter Bellingham and quite entertaining as a coffee table read for adults but probably more suited to the 10-15 age group.

This could be just the type of book to help encourage your children to read more books.

It is available to buy or download from Lulu.com, why not buy one for your kids.
