I have always wanted a good road bike.

I spent some time comparing bikes, and trying to keep at mid-range prices.

The Orbea is under £1k. I purchased from a local dealer at £25 more than a national supplier, as I needed the support and local back-up. He is based just 6 miles away.I got 10 percent off all other purchases at the time as well.

This bike is alloy, with carbon forks and seat stem. It is a comfortable ride and very stable especially on downhills, with rough road surfaces / patches.

I have done 300 miles so far, and very pleased.
