Good Points
It does its job, it plays music well.
The Shuffle is excellent to travel with thanks to its small size and light weight.
It is very durable, I have droped mine a number of times and it has had little effect on the iPod

Bad Points
Its small memory holds it's rating back.
Lack of a screen holds it back.

General Comments
I have had my Apple iPod Shuffle for about a year and so far it has done the job that I thought it would do, played music. However I can't say (a year later) that I am still impressed with it, as it seemed to get old very quickly compared to other iPod and Zen models. The 1Gb memory is good, but not great as I can only fit about 300 songs onto the Shuffle and for me, this is not enough. The size of the Shuffle is a positive factor because I can easily keep it in my pocket without it tightining my pants when ever I sit down. Overall, the Shuffle is a good buy if you are looking for a small, cool-looking device to play music but the fact that it has no screen is disapointing. I paid 85 pounds for my Shuffle and to be honest the best thing I got out of it, was iTunes which comes free in the package.
