Good Points
Screen quality is amazing especially when you view your photo's. Good memory, enough to fit some of your decent songs in. Doesn't get scratched easily. Small and light weight and really thin. Great looking sleek iPod.
Bad Points
Battery life could be better. Headphones get busted really easily (For every single iPod). Fragile and will break easily if abused.
General Comments
I agree, I updated my iPod and the songs automatically vanished. I made the same mistake twice and regretted it as I lost over 800 songs and had to put all of them back on to the darn machine. What's worse it that iTunes wouldn't even recognize the machine so I had to do the setup and all the procedures again. I suggest that you don't update your iPod and stick with it the way it is, otherwise you're going to end up feeling like a complete idiot. Other than that I have no other complaints except that the battery life is a little poor. I noticed it is better on the Mini's (lasts around 4-5 days without charging) and rubbish on the video's (goes only around 24 hours - depends on how much you use it). So you should consider the advantages and the disadvantages before owning one of these babies.
