I debated long and hard about my next phone as I had a long list of features I needed. The Galaxy S has a lovely bright screen and is quite slim. This is both a plus and a minus - big means easier to see (I wear contact lenses + glasses for reading) but it is hardly pocket sized. I have been playing around with it to get it just how I like. The phone has been out for a while now so I have the Froyo android software. I was able to immediately download my mp3s from my pc through the Samsung Kies software. It was not obvious how to change the default ringtone but you have to go into the music player - highlight the desired track and then you can set it as ringtone or contact etc. I can choose my own photos as wallpaper but they don't look right as it goes over three screens so you only see part of it. Voice dialling was a feature I particularly wanted for use with my bluetooth in the car. I can get it to work sometimes but it doesn't always recognise the name and this could be a problem if I can't see the phone and I end up calling someone else! The quality of calls seems fairly good and the messaging is very easy to use with the qwerty keyboard - I have tried swype as well. I am sure I will find lots more on this phone as time goes by. I have it on a contract with Orange and can now use the T-Mobile network as well so coverage should be better.
