I really dont think Ive ever visited a shop worse than CEX. I am talking about the Stoke on Trent branch but if their customer service and policies are anything to go by then I dont hold out much hope for their other stores!
Staff are rude, inexperienced and seem to do nothing but hang around behind the counter chatting and laughing with other colleagues. We waited just under an hour in a queue only to be told to come back in half an hour after the item had been tested, when we arrived back we ended up waiting another 40 minutes in the queue just to be told the outcome of the test! Then they said the items were faulty, when we knew 100% they were not, as firstly they were brand new and never used, and we had tested them ourselves the previous day. Also they do not stick to the grading criteria on their website and are quite happy to ignore this to avoid paying what they should to buy your items. When we tried to raise this fact with them, we were ignored and told to take it or leave it, rather rudely by the girl on the counter.
Its the first time Ive ever used CEX and I can safely say I will NEVER be going back there again. Whoever owns this company (a clown, by the looks of it) really needs to take a good look at the service they are giving their customers. Utterly disgraceful! The store was also messy and dirty and staff looked a real mess (especially the girl with piercings all over her face, hardly a great advert for a shop).
I would give this store a zero rating if possible but unfortunately the website wont allow me to!!
