This is an amazing album, really different from anything I've heard before. The female singer has an outstanding voice, really powerful and emotive. The songs are sometimes fun and frivolous, sometimes really deep and moving. It's a little bit folky in parts, at other times it sounds like flamenco or Portuguese fado. Some of the lyrics are in Spanish, some in Portuguese, some in English. There aren't many voices like this making music any more, most latin music nowadays is really thin and commercial. This is really artistic and original. The best tracks are probably Eu Quero and Verto, but most people will probably prefer Ta Na Rua and NYC.
I really recommend you hear Nadie es Nadie, it's the most amazing album I've heard all decade.
