Used them recently cos they offered the best exchange rate even after paying for a trip on the rail to London and all the best rates are in London. I got the exchange rate I wanted so that's the positive.
Not sure how good it is but I use moneysavingexpert to find out which bureau is offering the best rate.
Just make sure you phone them to secure the exchange rate you're expecting, take note of who you spoke to and how long they'll honour that rate. For large amounts and/or currency which is average in popularity, which was my case, they asked for a non-refundable deposit of £100 so they could stock that currency. Obviously they never debitted from my card as I used their service in the end. When you get there, make sure you give those details and double check that you're still getting that rate before you hand over your cash (assuming the rate has gotten worse)!!! I say this cos after giving them my name, they tried to process my transaction using the daily rate ... naughty naughty. Would have made a difference of nearly £50.
