The cleaner arrived securely packaged in tough box, complete with instructions on assembly and useage. After unpacking this lightweight model I found it very easy to attatch the handle and place the accesssories ( which is a 3 in 1 cervice tool, dusting brush and upholstery tool ) into the body ready for use on more specific tasks. This was now ready for use.

In use
On use of the vacuum, I found its adjustable handle very useful, as I'm shorter than my husband, but it altered with ease to accomodate us both. Plenty of scope to suit everyone. For use on carpets I pressed the large orange button on the cylinder top, then tilting the cleaner backwards whilst holding the base to the floor with my foot, I had the brush bar in use. Very easy to do. I found that the suction was excellent and it had picked up lots of mess that my old cleaner had left, which did make me slightly embarrassed. The motor being just a little noiser than my previous model.
I really liked its smooth operation as it glided along. Even on the hard floors after de-activating the brush bar ( by puting it upright or pressing the button on top of the cylinder ) It was a breeze. Instead of all the dust flying about it was quickly suctioned up into the cleaner. So very easy to now change from soft to hard floors and back again. The only thing I found a bit difficult was the staiway as the brush bar was a bit wide for this so I finished up using the crevice tool. I think you can purchase another attatchment for this.
For some of the upholstery I needed the 3 in 1 tools. I had to disconnect the hose from the base of the machine, this being easy to do by depressing an orange clip then obtain the upholstery tool from those slotted together at the rear of the machine, place this onto the hose and off I go, making sure I do hold the unit. The only difficulties I found was to gain ease you have to pull the hose through like a loop in order to extend enough length.
Emptying
Dust emptying with ease from the sealed drum unit which is done with a catch at the front, this releases the whole drum. Carry this to the bin, press catch on bottom and out comes all the mess into the bin from the bottom flap. Filter are asy to check and just tap off (one can be washed under a tap at 40 degrees C max then left 24hrs to dry ready for re-use. The filters are designed to last a lifetime so no worry having to find a shop selling them.
Conclusion
I feel this vacuum is ideal for my use around the house as I have both carpet and hard floors. It is so lightweight and adaptable. Other than the stairways It was easy to use. I think I will look into buying the extra attatchments for stairs. I would recommend everyone to try this vacuum cleaner for themselves it is so easy to store too as it is quite compact. Price is RRP £179.99.
