After promising our youngsters that they would have a great time at the pleasure beach - we always had done when we were kids, arrived to find that for some reason we were expected to pay £15 for the privilege of entering the park, £12 for the kids. Half the rides were closed, and all we wanted to do was have a walk round and go on a few rides. £15?? Not b****y likely. It was my understanding that we would then have to pay for rides on top of that! I paid £25 to go to Alton Towers, less than that for Drayton Manor, both of which are PROPER Theme parks and worth every penny. But £15 plus rides (if they are open)? To walk round a glorified fairground? Absolutely ridiculous. Hugely disappointing waste of time. And for the record, I have only given it a 1 star rating because it wouldn't let me do a zero.
