I recently bought a PC from Palicomp or Megapc (on eBay). They were really nice and gave me some great discounts.
After a couple of months I started having problems with my PC, to which I had to contact the sales team, and in true sales fashion, they were very polite and great to deal with. I asked them if I could get the carefree warranty and after haggling the price they offered it to me on a discount from £108 to £54 for three years (hardware, software and accidental damage).
They then picked up the PC fixed it and sent it back to me very quickly, however when I was sent it back, it was in a damaged state. The casing was broken so I informed them to give me a replacement, (this is where they started getting funny!) They started asking awkward questions and after some time they accepted that it was their fault.
When they received the PC, they were unwilling to fix my PC and said they will only fix certain parts of the PC. I was quite surprised that a big business such as Palicomp was doing such a thing. Then I read up on reviews and realised that they are known for bad customer support.
However they did fix it at sent it back to me in mint condition.
I think that the PC's and offers are great inc warranties 8 out of 10, because they offer free carriage, so it saves you having to send it forward and back for £30+, however the sales team is the worst I have ever spoken to 3 out of 10. They need to re-train their staff, because THEY give the company a bad name!
