Below is a feedback letter I wrote to them



Further to your feedback you provided on Friday, after having some time to reflect I thought I would offer you some feedback.



I am actually quite disgusted at the way that my "application" has been handled and take the feedback you gave me somewhat of an insult.



You mentioned on all our calls that I would be "popping in for a cup of coffee" yet you explained to me yesterday this was actually an interview. There was never a mention of an interview. Naturally given ANY meeting situation, asking someone to meet for coffee is implying this is for an informal discussion, not for an interview. I therefore feel I have been lead into a false sense of security and your comments explaining I was too relaxed irrelevant. Blaming this on an assumption of both parties is simply not a good enough explanation as I would expect that it be your responsibility to provide an accurate brief to a potential candidate. I would recommend in future that clear and concise information is provided first hand.



You also mentioned that "i had made a number of bad decisions in my career" because I did not follow the road of Sales. This is quite frankly a very rude statement as some elements of my career fell into place and the decision was not there to be made. This is also a matter of your opinion and should you be providing an opinion on someone's hard working life, I suggest you understand it fully before passing judgement. Another irritating point is that my CV clearly indicates what elements of business I have covered throughout my career and there is no mention of Sales. Why you still chose to "interview" me knowing this and waste my time goes beyond my understanding.



Overall, my experience with Michael Page has been a huge disappointment and after publishing my concerns on Facebook I have learnt that I am not the only person to receive this treatment from your office. Considering you are supposed to be one of the biggest recruiters, you are also quite simply the worst I have dealt with.



I wish to have no further dealings with Michael Page and I do not want any more emails from you.
