Good Points
Easy spool change

Bad Points
Drag bites when line is being taken giving uneven pressure when playing a fish.
General Comments
A large arbor cast aluminium reel which is very forgiving in use. It has ample capacity to take the fly line and a huge amount of backing. It is finnished in grey graphite making it quite an attractive reel. The spool frame tolerances are good with no line traps. It is supplied with a full aluminium spare spool which is easy and quick to change and is certainly not as fiddly as some cartridge systems. However it cannot compare to these systems for lightness. The spools are smooth in use and have a graded drag controlled by a rotary dial on the reels back plate which is solid with drilled vent holes. The scale of the drag is clearly marked on the back plate. The drag is not as smooth in use biting and giving uneven pressure, making it difficult when playing fish when line is being taken. This aside given the reels attractive pricing and ease of use makes it good value for money. A nice reel only let down by that uneven drag.
