Good Points
Drives like a go-cart, the handling is so sweet I drive it just for kicks. Economical and parts are still cheap and easy to get. Loads of boot space. Very, very strong construction. I've kicked and jumped up and down on the sides and roof of a wrecked X and barely made a dent.

Bad Points
Bad for rust and engine technology is a bit dated.
The gearbox is prone to crunching gears and 4 wheel drive owners are apt not to see you as the car is so small. Can easily be lost in a carpark. (just look for the crowd of curious pimple faced youths)

General Comments
Ive had 3 Fiat X1/9s and I consider them one of the best designed sports cars in their class. I've wrecked one and take my word for it if you are ever involved in an accident you have a better than average chance of survival, they are built TOUGH. God help the poor person who hits one with a modern car.
