A very nice bread maker with lots of different programmes and capabilities to allow for the making of all sorts of different types and styles of bread and cakes. It does seem to struggle with wholemeal breads, often producing a very 'heavy' texture to that type of loaf. There is advice in the included recipe book on how to get round this, but the advice is not always successful. We have used the alternative methods suggested (adding white flour to the mix) which results in a loaf that rises during 'proving' and collapses during cooking.

Unfortunately our Kenwood BM450 only lasted two weeks (and 6 loaves) before the heater element devloped a fault and shut the house electrics off every time the heater came on!!
