Absolutely disgraceful ...... steer well clear of this company! I got into trouble financially and Wonga, at the time, were very helpful. My trust rating kept going up and eventually I was approved for £1000. My financial circumstances changed and I contacted Wonga who, again, were very helpful and understanding. They agreed to freeze all interest and came to an arrangement where they would take £130 per month on each payday, over 10 months. This started in October last year and they have successfully taken £130 per month ever since (total £780). However they failed to take payment in April, even though my bank statement clearly shows there was money in the account. Logged onto my bank account on Friday to discover they had decided to take £285.15 from my account. When I contacted them they said I had broken my agreement. I explained they had failed to take the money and they asked me to e-mail them a copy of my bank statement to prove that the funds were in my account on 25th, which I did. I explained that I needed to money putting back into my account immediately as my mortgage payment was due. They said someone would contact me by the close of business that day. No one did. I sent another e-mail explaining the urgency. Still nothing. Not only have they not refunded the money they have, as far as I am concerned 'stolen' from me but, low and behold, I have checked my bank statement this morning to find that they have taken another £114.06 today. Logged onto the Wonga site and even after paying the £780 in installments, plus the £285 on Friday and £114 today, I apparently still owe £1000. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE !!!
