I purchased the Mossberg 835 about ten years ago. It was packaged with the rifled slug barrel and extra full turkey barrel. What a bargain! The slug barrel has proven accuracy well beyond 100 yards with the cheapest of slugs. When I use a premier sabot, wow like a rifle to 150 yds - no questions asked. 200 yds maybe! Turkeys out to 50 yards, look out! Tight hard hitting patterns no doubt! Driving rain - no worry. Sleet - no worry. Snow squalls - no worry. I have several other shotguns and rifles, but the only gun out of the cabinet for me is the Mossberg 835. Only draw back is it's a bit on the heavy side.
