I almost exclusively listen to streamed music like Spotify via my Sono's kit at home (basically a Sono's plays streamed internet music anywhere in your house via wireless speakers - very nice piece of kit)
I've used Napster for a year or two on the sonos and have generally been very pleased. However, over the Christmas period Napster was pretty much down the whole time due to over use apparently - not ideal when you wanted to play a bit of Cliff at Christmas...
So, out of frustration with Napster I switched to Spotify - at twice the price.
I've been quite underwhelmed. Bearing in mind I only really use it through the Sonos interface, but through that it lacks a lot of the functionality that Napster does - there are no 'staff picks' or other playlists that you can check out. You can't easily view the top 100 albums of the moment or anything like that
You're just given the ability to search for tracks.
You can't even set up playlists on the Sonos (you can only do this by using your PC which I dont particularly want to do)
So, via the Sonos Spotify is pretty poor.
If you want to use it on your PC then its a different proposition, but for me, with my Sonos I think Im going to go back to Napster once they sort their tech issues out
