For many people on our flight there was no entertainment system working. In my seat I had no tv services available, the light was not working so I couldn't read, the service bell was broken so I could not call the staff and the headphones were broken in the pack. What annoyed me was that when I spoke to the staff they said they would try to fix it but never came near me again to see if it worked or replace the headphones. I complained and in the end 4 of us received a free gift from duty free for the inconvenience. The hostess admitted that half the cabins were having problems with these issues which makes me question the quality of aircraft Qantas is putting in the air. I feel sorry for the staff having to deal with so many unhappy customers on the flight but at the same time they could have done a better job in the area of customer care.
